上一期节目，KG介绍了王尔德，相信大家有了一定的了解。
第11期节目的开头，相信大家不会陌生，这是狄更斯《双城记》的结尾，即卡尔顿和达尔内偷梁换柱，卡尔顿替达尔内赴死前夜口述的一封信的结尾，一切皆源于卡尔顿对达尔内妻子的爱慕。
那么，KG现在就带领大家开启今天的文学之旅。

我发现很多魔友都很了解狄更斯，而且广泛阅读了他的作品，这一点我自愧不如，他的作品中有不少我都是只看了一部分。
查尔斯·狄更斯（1812～1870）英国著名作家，其作品，风格和思想至今仍有很大的影响，可以说经久不衰，而且几乎每一部作品都是经典。他是批判主义的代表人物，善于反映社会现实，主要作品有《双城记》《艰难时世》《大卫·科波菲尔》《老古玩店》《匹克威克外传》《雾都孤儿》《远大前程》等。
狄更斯去世后被安葬在西敏寺的诗人角。

1.《远大前程》

I love her against reason , against promise , against peace ,against hope , against happiness , against all discouragement that could be .
我爱她是违背常理，是妨碍前程，是失去自制，是破灭希望， 是断送幸福，是注定要尝尽一切的沮丧和失望的。

2.《双城记》
描写的主要是法国大革命之后伦敦，巴黎之间的联系以及一位昔日贵族的高尚，是对罗伯斯庇尔政权的批判。

Her triumph in this connection with my work, and her delight when I wanted a new pen --which I very often deigned to do-- suggested to me a new way of pleasing my child-wife.

在现实生活里，凡是具有几分幻想气质的人，开头引人注目的总是他那些荒乎其唐的怪癖，除非我们进一步跟他搞熟了，我们才能透过这些表象去了解他的主要的一面。
5.《雾都孤儿》
作者通过对奥利弗的身世变化，表达了对英国社会充满幸福安康的渴望。

Human nature is so wonderful ,the same good quality never favoritism ,either in the finest gentleman who develop ,they can be the most foul charity school student body grow.
人的本性是多么的美妙,同样美好的品质从不厚此薄彼,既可以在最出色的君子身上发扬,又可以再最卑污的慈善学校学生的身上滋长.



狄更斯的作品，需要读者充分地进行思考，追问，同时注意文中细节，否则可能无法理解作者的用意，他的作品充满诙谐幽默，又在背后有着深层次的底蕴，往往需要揣摩，联系前后文。
