Almost Every American, age 5 or older, has stories about their school lunches. Most of those stories are about how bad the food is. Over 30 million American school children eat lunch in the cafeteria every school day, and statistics show that the nutritional value of these meals is substandard.

几乎每个5岁以上的美国人都有关于学校午餐的故事，而这些故事大都和难吃的饭菜有关。超过3000万美国学龄儿童在学校餐厅吃午餐。而数据显示，学校饭菜的营养并没有达到标准。

Restaurateurs at Sweetgreen became concerned about the quality of food being served to today's youth and decided to do something about it. They compared lunches served to the students in schools around the world to those served in the U.S…The results were eye opening.

有机快餐连锁餐厅甜蜜之绿（Sweetgreen）的餐饮从业者担心美国青少年所吃食物的质量，决心为此做些事情。他们比较了全世界其他地方和美国的学生午餐……结果让人大开眼界。

This in depth photo spread shows the fresh and nutritious meals that students around the world are served in comparison to those eaten by Americans. The differences are like night and day. Children in other countries enjoy local meats, fruits, and veggies served “al fresco”, in attractive arrangements that invite you to enjoy your meal.

The company hopes to prove that with all the delicious fresh foods, and diverse cooking styles available in our country, school meals could be so much better. I know that I got hungry just looking at the pictures!
