大家听说过modernism吗？
Modernism是上世纪的主要文学运动之一，其中的小说家们，受弗洛伊德的影响，创造了“意识流”的叙述形式。他们主张将人的思维直观地用文字展现出来，从而打破语言的界限，实现“文字革命”。

Modernism is one of the major international literary movements in the 20th century. The modernist novelists, influenced by Freud, invented the "stream of consciousness" narrative. They strive to present thoughts as they really are: fragmented, self-contradicting and irrational. They advocate new, "modern", unconventional literary techniques and often speak of these as the "Revolution of Words".

英国小说家，散文家，评论家Virginia Woolf 的 Mrs. Dalloway就是这一流派的代表作品之一。发表于1925年，classic modernism的鼎盛时期，这本书描写了在一天中几个不同的人在伦敦的生活，围绕着Clarissa Dalloway 和Septimus Warren Smith这两个人分别展开。Clarissa是一位中上流社会的中年女性，Septimus是从一战前线回来的年轻士兵，但精神受到了伤害(Shell Shock)。
