怎样判断一个人是真心还是虚伪的？下面5件事也许是一个判断标准，我们虽然不可能说的那么绝对，但一定有借鉴意义。

Last week I had this amazing opportunity to go to Oslo and do a bit of business. After a long day of doing work related stuff, we went to meet these Norwegian guys who invited us for dinner. They had their Nepalese friends over who made this amazing curry chicken — heavenly. 
上周，我有幸到奥斯陆洽淡业务。忙了一整天，等各类大小事务暂告一段落后，我们应邀去拜访几位挪威人，共进晚餐的还有几位尼泊尔的朋友，他们做了美味的咖喱鸡，味道棒极了。

We felt this energetic atmosphere, as the conversations flew over the room and stories ignited laughter. I thought — Norwegians are cool. We actually laughed about this part because of the fact that Norway has proper winters. It makes sense that — they are “cool”, corny jokes.
屋里楼间，欢声笑语不断，感觉十分热闹。我觉得挪威人很酷，这点很有意思，因为挪威的冬天气候适宜，天气凉爽（谐音为“酷”），因此说挪威人也“酷”是有引申义的，这是老掉牙的笑话了。

The overall tone of the conversation had this unorthodox sense of absolute honesty and hospitality. It isn’t a crazy new concept, that people tend to be hospitable and show a good impression for foreigners. But somehow, the honesty in those guys was the real knockout move on the whole experience.
交谈的整体气氛异乎寻常地真诚热情。人们总爱在外国人面前表现殷勤，留个好印象，这一点都不奇怪。但不知怎么的，那些人表现出的真诚却真的让人印象十分深刻。

Honesty is this feeling you see when somebody is confident in knowing who he is. He doesn’t need to impress you or try to convince you about something. That reminds me of a cool character like Harvey Spector from TV series Suits. He keeps a track of his honesty, not just because of his professional career, but for his sense of power and identity. 
真诚是一种感受，当一个人确信自己的为人时就会给你这样的感觉。他不会刻意去做一些事来给他人留下印象，也不会强迫你接受他的观点。这让我想起了《金装律师》里魅力超群的哈维﹒斯佩克特。他对自己知根知底，不做作，不浮夸，这不仅仅是出于他的律师天性，而更多的是出于他对自己权力和身份的认同。

Honesty is like an expression of a well balanced mind and spirit. To be genuine and say what's on your mind, it takes more than just a decision to be honest. In truth, it starts with the surroundings.
真诚是内心的真情流露。说话真诚不违心，真诚决不是思前想后得出来的决定。事实上，这首先取决于周围的环境。

To put it simply, if you eat junk food you become fat and tired. In contrast, if you have friends that lie and put on fake smiles, you’ll soon end up like that.
简单来说，如果你吃垃圾食品，就会变胖、易疲倦。相反，如果你有满口谎言、虚情假意的朋友，不久你也会变成那样。

A few facts that come to my mind about honest person.
一个人真诚与否，我认为不外乎以下几个方面：

1 Honest person believes in keeping his word. He will not say things that he cannot do, therefore what he says has more value.
真诚的人坚守诺言，不会夸下海口，说些有心无力的事，因此，他的话可信度更高。
2 Honest person loves himself. Not that he is selfish, but he knows that it is important to take care of yourself.
真诚的人会洁身自好。他并不是自私，他只是明白对自己好很重要。
3 Honest person can hurt someone easily, but usually the purpose is to help that other person to grow. Sometimes truth stings.
真诚的人很容易伤他人心，但是出发点都是希望对方能够变得更好。忠言常逆耳。
4 Honest person does not accept the word “shame” in his vocabulary. The word “shame” means the feeling of not being liked or accepted and obviously that compromises the state of honesty.
真诚的人的世界中没有“耻辱”一词，因为耻辱是一种不被他人喜欢或接受的感觉，而这与真诚势成水火。
5 Honest people can play safe and be risk takers at the same time. They acknowledged that there are risks, but that doesn’t stop them. Honesty isn't a frame of their character, but a genuine expression of their personality.
真诚的人，懂得小心驶得万年船，同时也会激流勇进。他们明知山有虎偏向虎山行。真诚不是小心翼翼，而是率性而行。
